CallingNotes: {1} After the allemande some dancers (the men) are looking 
  across the set at their partner's backside.  Others (the women) are 
  gazing out at a side wall.  Balance the Waves ... If facing across then 
  you walk across into your partner's spot.  If facing out, then loop to 
  your right into your neighbor's spot.  Join right hands with P.  
  Balance ...  If facing across, then walk across, otherwise loop to your 
  right -> dancers will be on the same side of the set as their neighbor.
